Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) – Hybrid, Northwich

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join a leading financial services organisation in Northwich. The role is hybrid, offering a blend of office collaboration and remote flexibility while supporting a critical Oracle database estate.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Oracle database environments (19c+).
• Monitor database health, performance, and availability.
• Manage backups, restores, migrations and disaster‑recovery processes.
• Apply patches, upgrades and routine maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.
• Maintain Oracle Enterprise Manager and Oracle WebLogic platforms.
• Automate routine administration tasks where possible.
• Ensure database security, compliance and best‑practice standards.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable services.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Oracle Database Administration, preferably with Oracle 19c or later.
• Strong background in backup/recovery, performance tuning and database security.
• Hands‑on experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager and Oracle WebLogic.
• Good knowledge of Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
• Analytical mindset with solid problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and a collaborative approach.
