OT Cyber Security Architect – Hybrid (Glasgow/Perth/Aberdeen/Inverness)

About the role

We are looking for two senior OT Cyber Security Architects to shape and deliver a major Operational Technology security programme across the UK. The role involves defining architecture strategy, producing technical designs and ensuring governance from planning through to operational hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Support project definition, planning and business case development.
• Develop target‑state architectures and detailed solution designs.
• Produce High‑Level Designs (HLDs) and Low‑Level Designs (LLDs).
• Provide solution architecture leadership and technical assurance.
• Design and review security, network and infrastructure architectures.
• Engage with technology vendors and third‑party partners.
• Participate in Technical Design Authority (TDA) and governance forums.
• Support implementation, integration, testing and operational readiness.
• Manage stakeholder relationships across business, technology and supplier teams.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in solution, infrastructure or OT architecture, preferably within regulated utilities, energy, manufacturing or other critical infrastructure sectors.
• Proven ability to produce and review HLDs and LLDs.
• Eligibility for BS7858 security vetting (or current clearance).
• Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks, security controls and compliance requirements.
