About the role
The Outpatient Pharmacy Branch Leader will be responsible for overseeing the outpatient pharmacy service at Lancashire Teaching Hospital, ensuring high‑quality patient care while driving team performance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the outpatient pharmacy team on a daily basis.
- Monitor and improve service performance against NHS standards.
- Coordinate medication dispensing, patient counseling, and clinical services.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, regulatory and trust policies.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction.
Required profile
- Proven experience in pharmacy leadership within a hospital or NHS setting.
- Strong understanding of outpatient pharmacy operations.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
