Outsourcing Manager – City of London

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Outsourcing Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of finance and accounting clients for a leading international accountancy and advisory firm in the City of London. The role combines client‑facing advisory work, technical accounting expertise, and team leadership within a modern, hybrid working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of outsourcing, business services and accounting clients across multiple sectors.
• Act as the primary client contact, delivering high‑quality outsourced finance services and building long‑term relationships.
• Review management accounts, statutory financial statements, VAT returns and other reporting assignments.
• Provide technical guidance on UK GAAP, FRS 102 and IFRS.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end reporting, balance‑sheet reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
• Identify and implement improvements to finance processes, reporting systems and internal controls.
• Manage workflow, budgets, work‑in‑progress and billing to ensure profitability.
• Coach and develop Assistant Managers, Seniors and junior team members.
• Support business development and identify growth opportunities within the client portfolio.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing an outsourcing or business services portfolio in an accountancy practice.
• Strong client‑facing skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership and people‑development capabilities.
• Commercial awareness and a focus on delivering profitable services.
