PACS Administrator

About the role

Welbeck Health is looking for a PACS Administrator to join its new state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic and imaging facility in Oxford. The role supports the day‑to‑day operation of imaging systems, ensuring that images, reports and patient data are managed efficiently, securely and in compliance with GDPR.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operation of the PACS and associated imaging systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, escalating when necessary.
• Upload, download and transfer medical images via approved exchange platforms.
• Support image routing, workflow management and database maintenance.
• Assist clinicians, patients and administrative staff with imaging system queries.
• Manage patient portal and image access requests.
• Maintain governance documentation, audit trails and incident records.
• Liaise with external suppliers and internal stakeholders on performance and upgrades.
• Support onboarding and training of staff using imaging systems.
• Contribute to process improvements and service development initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong IT literacy with confidence using multiple software systems.
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues independently.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage workload in a busy environment.
• Excellent communication skills for supporting users of varying technical abilities.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• RIS administration (desirable)
