Paralegal – Legal Operations & Contract Management

About the role

Valarian Technologies is seeking a proactive Paralegal to support its growing legal and compliance function. You will work in a fast‑moving, early‑stage environment, helping to build the legal foundations that enable the company’s dual‑use technology platform to scale securely.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate standard commercial agreements such as NDAs, vendor contracts, SaaS agreements, and statements of work.
• Maintain the central contract database/CLM, tracking key dates, renewals, rights, and obligations.
• Update and manage company templates, playbooks, and fallback language.
• Design, embed, and manage legal processes and workflows, ensuring accurate corporate records and minute books.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, and Security/Product teams to align legal activities across the business.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and develop self‑serve tools or checklists for non‑lawyers.
• Conduct targeted compliance and regulatory research as needed.

Required profile

• Strong interest in legal operations within a technology‑focused company.
• Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk identification.

Required skills

• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems.
• Knowledge of corporate record‑keeping and minute‑book maintenance.
