Paralegal – Legal Support in Leeds

About the role

We are looking for a Paralegal to join QBE International’s Legal team in Leeds. This permanent, hybrid position offers the chance to develop a legal career within the insurance industry, supporting a wide range of commercial and regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Review basic commercial agreements such as confidentiality agreements, supplier terms, engagement letters, and IT contracts.
• Assist lawyers across corporate, commercial, insurance, finance/treasury, people, marketing and IT matters.
• Support major legal projects, coordinate actions and aid the Claims team with County Court Judgments (CCJs).
• Handle general legal and non‑legal queries, including entity verification and document signing.
• Conduct legal research, draft documents and maintain intranet and online filing systems.
• Use legal software and technology to support reporting and operational tasks.
• Contribute to the development and upkeep of internal procedures and stakeholder relationships.

Required profile

• Experience supporting legal, commercial or operational activities in a legal or professional services environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills with effective prioritisation.
• Practical problem‑solving approach and confidence to act independently.

• Proficiency with legal software and technology tools.
