Paraplanner – Boutique Financial Planning Firm

About the role

This position is with a boutique financial planning firm in Amersham, seeking a Paraplanner to provide high‑quality technical support across investments, pensions, retirement solutions, trusts and protection products. The role is ideal for candidates with at least two years of paraplanning experience and progressing towards a Level 4 Diploma.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct fund and product research and produce bespoke suitability reports.
• Prepare client portfolio review analysis and cash‑flow modelling.
• Draft suitability letters, client‑specific illustrations and key‑features documents.
• Oversee implementation of investments and review client correspondence.
• Attend client meetings, capture adviser instructions and ensure compliance throughout.
• Maintain up‑to‑date client administration in collaboration with team administrators.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of paraplanning experience in a similar environment.
• Working towards or holding a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, aspirational demeanor.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Experience using analytical tools for financial research and modelling.
• Numerical aptitude and strong literacy, grammar and numeracy.
