Paraplanner – Financial Planning Support

About the role

We are seeking a Paraplanner to join a well‑established independent financial planning firm. Working closely with experienced Financial Planners, you will provide technical support throughout the advice process to ensure clients receive a high‑quality, personalised service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare suitability reports covering pensions, investments and protection.
• Conduct technical research using a range of financial planning tools.
• Analyse existing client arrangements and make recommendations.
• Liaise with advisers and administrators to ensure a smooth client journey.
• Support advisers with complex cases and technical queries.
• Stay up‑to‑date with FCA regulations and industry developments.
• Maintain accurate client records and meet compliance standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Paraplanner within an independent financial planning or wealth management firm (junior candidates also considered).
• Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments and protection.
• Experience writing suitability reports.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Diploma qualified (Level 4) or working towards this qualification.
