Paraplanner – Financial Planning Support

About the role

We are seeking a Paraplanner to support an experienced Financial Adviser within a well‑established financial planning business based in Fareham. The role involves preparing suitability reports, conducting investment research and assisting with client reviews, offering a clear pathway towards a Financial Adviser career.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare suitability reports and recommendation letters.
• Conduct product, fund and provider research.
• Support the Financial Adviser with annual and ongoing client reviews.
• Liaise directly with clients regarding documentation and review meetings.
• Maintain accurate client records using Intelligent Office (IO).
• Ensure all work complies with FCA and company standards.
• Assist with investment research and portfolio reviews.
• Collaborate with the administration team to deliver an excellent client experience.

Required profile

• Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent) – essential.
• Previous experience as a Paraplanner within an IFA or Wealth Management firm.
• Strong knowledge of investment products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage own workload.
• Proactive, reliable and confident working independently.
• Enjoys building long‑term relationships with clients and colleagues.

Required skills

• Experience using Intelligent Office (IO).
