Paraplanner – Financial Planning Support

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join a well‑established independent financial planning practice in South East England. You will work closely with the Directors and Financial Advisers, providing technical research, preparing high‑quality suitability reports and supporting the full advice process from analysis to implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare suitability reports covering pensions, investments and protection products.
• Conduct technical research and financial planning analysis to support advisers.
• Analyse existing client arrangements and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Research products, providers and investment solutions using industry tools.
• Ensure recommendations comply with client objectives and FCA regulations.
• Assist with annual client reviews and ongoing servicing requirements.
• Liaise with providers to obtain illustrations, valuations and technical information.
• Maintain client files to internal quality standards and FCA compliance.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Paraplanner within an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) practice.
• Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or progressing towards completion).
• Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments and protection products.
• Proven ability to produce accurate suitability reports.
• Excellent analytical, research and written communication skills.

• Intelliflo (or similar back‑office financial planning system).
• Quilter platform.
• Transact platform.

• Salary £38,000‑£42,000 per year, dependent on experience, plus performance‑related bonus.
