Paraplanner – Financial Planning Support Role

About the role

Our client, an established independent Chartered Financial Planning firm serving London, East Anglia and the South East, is seeking a Paraplanner to support its team of IFAs. The role involves producing technical suitability reports and conducting comprehensive market research to ensure clients receive the best possible advice.

Key responsibilities

• Write detailed suitability reports for the firm’s independent financial advisers.
• Conduct whole‑of‑market research using tools such as FE Analytics, O&M Pension Profiler, Assureweb and Firm Due Diligence.
• Maintain accurate client records in the company’s CRM system.
• Prepare application forms, illustrations, covering letters and sign‑up packs.
• Perform file reviews and platform work, including setting up clients, arranging payments and handling tax‑impacted switches.
• Ensure client investments are correctly allocated and comply with consumer duty principles.
• Undertake client contact when required and support IC and ad‑hoc project work.

Required profile

• All experience levels considered – from partially qualified administrators with paraplanning exposure to fully qualified level‑four paraplanners.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce technical documentation.
• Commitment to delivering correct client outcomes and adhering to regulatory standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with FE Analytics for market research.
• Experience using O&M Pension Profiler.
• Knowledge of Assureweb and Firm Due Diligence tools.
• Competence in operating a CRM system for client record management.

What we offer

• Salary range £30,000‑£45,000 per year.
• Group DIS x 4 exam sponsorship (aim to pass two exams per year).
