Paraplanner – Wealth Management

About the role

This is an opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner to join a well‑established wealth management firm in Bristol. You will sit at the heart of the financial planning function, supporting Wealth Managers to deliver complex, high‑quality advice and strong client outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed financial plans, suitability reports and recommendations for client advice.
• Support client review and new‑business meetings, helping advisors communicate planning solutions clearly.
• Research investments, pensions, protection and tax strategies to build robust, compliant recommendations.
• Review client portfolios to ensure alignment with objectives, risk profile and regulatory standards.
• Liaise with Wealth Managers, administrators and providers to ensure smooth implementation of advice.
• Maintain accurate client records and contribute to continuous improvement of advice processes.

Required profile

• Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (CII Level 4 or equivalent).
• Previous experience working as a Paraplanner.
• High attention to detail with a strong compliance mindset.
• Organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
• Working towards, or holding, CII Level 6 is an advantage.

Required skills

• CII Level 4 Regulated Financial Planning qualification.
• Strong technical knowledge of pensions.
• Strong technical knowledge of investments.
• Strong technical knowledge of tax wrappers.
• Proficiency with financial planning software.
