Part 2 Architectural Assistant

About the role

An established AJ100 multidisciplinary practice is recruiting Part 2 Architectural Assistants for its growing Manchester studio. It is an opportunity for a strong designer to develop their experience in a collaborative team working on complex, high-profile projects in Advanced Manufacturing, Defence & Security and Education, from early design development through to technical delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of architectural projects across multiple stages.
• Develop design proposals through drawings, sketches, diagrams and presentations.
• Produce architectural and technical information using Revit.
• Assist with technical drawing packages, reports and project documentation.
• Work with architects, engineers and wider multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure proposals respond to Building Regulations and technical standards.
• Support client presentations, workshops and design reviews, and prepare presentation material.
• Meet project deadlines in a methodical, organised way and continue developing technical, design and professional skills.

Required profile

• Part 2 qualification in Architecture is essential.
• Previous experience within a UK architectural practice.
• Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and technical standards.
• Advantageous: experience on complex, technically demanding or highly regulated projects.

Required skills

• Revit (essential)
• Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Enscape or similar rendering software
• Strong design ability and a good architectural portfolio
• Clear communication of ideas through drawings, sketches and verbal presentations
