Part-Time Class Teacher (Subject Leadership)

About the role

Stone CE Combined School, a one-form-entry primary school in a small village near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, is appointing a part-time class teacher (0.4 FTE, MPS/UPS) starting in April 2027. The school was rated Good in its last Ofsted report and offers teachers 24/7 access to medical advice through a private GP package covering wellbeing, physiotherapy, counselling, menopause and nurse support. The post is fixed term, pays according to the Main Scale or Upper Professional Scale, and interviews are scheduled for the week beginning 9 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Uphold the school's Christian vision, promote its values and positive behaviour, and model high expectations and professionalism.
• Engage with School Improvement Priorities and develop practice in line with them.
• Create a nurturing classroom and school environment that supports children to flourish and become well-rounded individuals.
• Implement Stone's routines and contribute to the effective working of the school while adhering to its policies.
• Carry out professional duties and manage an assigned class, including the day-to-day work and environment, ensuring the safety and welfare of pupils on and off site.
• Lead areas of the curriculum in negotiation with the Headteacher and work in partnership with the Headteacher, Deputy, staff, governors, parents and external agencies.

What we offer

• MPS pay of 34,233 to 47,166 or UPS of 49,371 to 53,090 at 0.4 FTE.
