Part‑Qualified Accountant – Client‑Facing Role

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Part‑Qualified Accountant to join a growing accountancy practice in Newtownards. This client‑facing position offers the chance to prepare management accounts, deliver financial insights and support business growth for a varied portfolio of clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly and quarterly management accounts, including working papers, reconciliations and narrative commentaries.
• Develop and maintain reporting templates, KPI trackers and dashboards to standardise client insight.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow modelling and re‑forecasting as required.
• Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, together with the associated tax computations.
• Submit VAT returns, corporation and personal tax returns and payroll‑related filings, ensuring compliance with deadlines.
• Conduct bookkeeping reviews and remedial work to maintain reliable financial records.
• Present financial analysis to clients, translating technical information into actionable recommendations.
• Build trusted relationships as the principal point of contact for allocated clients.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with solid practice experience.
• Strong client‑service orientation and ability to communicate financial information clearly.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and support junior staff through coaching and quality review.

Required skills

• Preparation of statutory accounts for various entity types.
• Experience with VAT, corporation tax, personal tax and payroll submissions.
• Management accounts preparation and financial reporting.
• Budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow modelling.
