Parts Supervisor / Parts Advisor – Commercial Vehicle Dealership

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Parts Supervisor / Parts Advisor to lead the Parts Department of a well‑established commercial vehicle dealership. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day operations, ensuring the right parts are available at the right time while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support the Parts team to meet departmental targets.
• Collaborate with the Site Manager to improve overall operational performance.
• Manage sourcing, ordering and supply of parts in line with manufacturer and company procedures.
• Monitor Vehicle Off Road (VOR) orders and work to minimise delays.
• Oversee stock receipts, returns, movements and maintain accurate documentation.
• Maintain inventory levels through effective control and regular stock checks.
• Coach and develop team members to uphold high standards of service.
• Ensure housekeeping, merchandising and Health & Safety standards are met.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a supervisory or senior advisory role within automotive parts (e.g., Parts Supervisor, Parts Manager, Senior Parts Advisor, Parts Specialist, Parts Coordinator, Parts Controller, Inventory Controller, Stock Controller).
• Proven ability to lead, mentor and support a team.
• Strong understanding of parts ordering, stock control and inventory management processes.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Good IT and administrative competence.
• Full UK driving licence.
