About the role
We are looking for a motivated part‑time Buyer to join our fast‑paced engineering manufacturing business. The role is based on‑site three days a week and focuses on supporting the procurement function to meet project milestones and production targets.
Key responsibilities
- Source and purchase components, materials and services required for engineering projects.
- Collaborate closely with Quality and Production teams to ensure timely delivery and compliance with specifications.
- Develop and improve purchasing processes and procedures.
- Provide input for spend forecasts and support the project team’s budgeting activities.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues that may affect production output.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years of buying or purchasing experience in an engineering manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams, especially Quality and Production.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to contribute to process improvement and cost‑control initiatives.
