Part‑time Cook – Residential Care Home

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Cook to join our team at Clarence Park Residential & Nursing Care Home in Weston‑super‑Mare. Working in a specialist complex‑care environment, you will prepare nutritious meals that meet individual dietary requirements and support the wellbeing of our residents.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals tailored to residents’ dietary needs, including modified or specialist diets.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, presentation, and safety at all times.
• Assist with menu planning using fresh ingredients to ensure a varied and balanced diet.
• Support the smooth operation of the kitchen by organising stock, cleaning work areas, and collaborating with the care team.

Required profile

• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Previous experience in a kitchen or food‑preparation role.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team.

What we offer

• £12.71 per hour, contracted to 17 hours per week.
