Part‑time Finance Manager – Charity (Sheffield)

About the role

This part‑time Finance Manager role supports a Sheffield‑based charity, reporting directly to the Co‑CEOs. Working two days a week, you will ensure robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and compliance with statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial procedures and recording systems using QuickBooks.
• Prepare and update annual budgets in collaboration with Co‑CEOs and the treasurer.
• Produce financial reports for the Management and Leadership team and the Treasurer.
• Provide external accountants with required documentation for year‑end accounts and independent examinations.
• Maintain reserves policy, manage bank reconciliations, invoicing, petty cash, payroll, pensions and expenses.
• Support continuous improvement of financial systems and stay updated on charity accounting standards.

Required profile

• Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Intermediate qualification or equivalent.
• Knowledge of charity and company accounting regulations.
• Experience monitoring grant and contract funding for multi‑funded projects.
• Proven ability to prepare budgets and management accounts.

Required skills

• QuickBooks online accounting software.

• £15,096 pro‑rated annual salary (full‑time equivalent £37,740).
