Part‑Time Financial Controller – Hybrid (3 days/week)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join a growing SME on a flexible, part‑time basis. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will own the finance function, work closely with senior leadership and help shape the business’s financial future.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly management accounts and month‑end close process
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management
• Prepare and analyse financial reports for the leadership team
• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure regulatory compliance
• Manage relationships with external accountants and auditors
• Drive the implementation of a new cloud‑based finance system
• Identify and implement process improvements across the finance function
• Partner with the CEO and senior leaders on commercial and strategic projects

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification preferred (equivalent experience considered)
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a senior finance role
• Strong management‑accounting, budgeting and forecasting expertise
• Comfortable working hands‑on in an SME environment
• Commercially minded with excellent communication skills
• Proactive, organised and eager to make a genuine impact
