Part‑time Lecturer – Hospitality

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Lecturer to join the Hospitality and Professional Cookery department at Chesterfield College. The role involves delivering front‑of‑house training to learners from Entry Level 3 to Level 3, with occasional evening sessions in the college’s training restaurant and support for community projects.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons on front‑of‑house service, barista techniques and mixology.
• Provide practical coaching and mentorship to students, acting as personal tutor where required.
• Support the training restaurant on Thursday evenings and assist with events or commercial projects.
• Collaborate with department staff to develop curriculum and maintain high teaching standards.

Required profile

• Recent, hands‑on experience in the hospitality industry.
• Proven ability to train, coach or mentor colleagues or learners.
• Vocational competence in front‑of‑house service, barista work and mixology.
• Positive, inclusive and learner‑focused attitude.
