Part‑time Legal Cashier – Blackburn

About the role

We are seeking an organised Legal Cashier to join a respected law firm in Blackburn on a part‑time, permanent basis. The role offers flexible core hours and the chance to work 2‑3 days a week, supporting the firm’s daily financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Process client and office account transactions in line with SRA Accounts Rules.
• Manage daily banking, including receipts, payments, bank reconciliations and CHAPS transfers.
• Post and reconcile client and office account entries.
• Handle purchase ledger invoices, supplier payments and raise office invoices.
• Monitor client balances to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with fee earners, suppliers and clients on financial queries.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support audit requirements.
• Provide general finance administration as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Legal Cashier within a law firm.
• Strong understanding of SRA Accounts Rules and client‑office account management.
• Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Strong organisational abilities and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication and collaborative working style.
