About the role
The Patient Coordinator – Outpatients will be the first point of contact for patients, consultants and visitors at Cromwell Hospital. Working under the Front of House Manager, you will ensure a smooth, welcoming experience that reflects the hospital’s “Every Patient is a VIP” vision.
Key responsibilities
- Manage reception desks across the hospital, greeting patients and visitors courteously.
- Coordinate patient registration, issue medical record numbers, and prepare outpatient accounts.
- Process payments, guarantee letters, and liaise with insurance companies and embassies.
- Handle enquiries, direct visitors to appropriate departments, and resolve reception‑related complaints.
- Provide administrative support during clinics, tests and procedures, including booking follow‑up appointments.
- Maintain service continuity during computer downtime by implementing manual procedures.
Required profile
- Experience in a customer‑facing environment such as a luxury hotel, high‑end retail, or private hospital.
- Assertive, articulate, and polite with strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent telephone etiquette and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

What we offer
- Permanent full‑time contract (37.5 hours per week) with a shift pattern covering weekdays and occasional Saturdays.
- Salary of £29,000 per year.
