Payments Change & Transformation Senior Associate

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Payments Change & Transformation Senior Associate to shape and deliver operational improvements within our Payments and Regulatory Reporting team. You will use deep payments‑operations experience to drive automation, platform upgrades and AI/ML‑enabled capabilities while ensuring minimal disruption to day‑to‑day delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the subject‑matter expert for payments operations and regulatory reporting, grounding change initiatives in real‑world operational realities.
• Identify pain points, inefficiencies and risks in reporting processes and translate them into clear change priorities.
• Lead delivery of transformation workstreams such as report automation, platform roll‑outs, migrations and process re‑engineering.
• Partner with Technology and Data Science to embed intelligent automation (including AI/ML) into payments workflows.
• Own the end‑to‑end delivery lifecycle: requirements gathering, impact assessment, UAT coordination, cut‑over planning and post‑implementation stabilization.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across Operations, Technology, Compliance, Finance and senior leadership, providing governance, status reporting and escalation paths.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in payments operations and/or regulatory reporting within a top‑tier investment bank, global bank or major financial institution.
• Deep understanding of the end‑to‑end payments processing lifecycle, including clearing, settlement, reconciliation and exception management.
• Proven ability to manage complex change programmes while protecting data quality, controls and regulatory compliance.
