Payroller – Payroll Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Payroller to join our busy bureau in Worthing. You will be responsible for ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time, supporting the smooth operation of the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll for all employees accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Handle payroll queries and provide timely resolutions.
• Calculate statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, and SPP.
• Coordinate with HR and other departments to keep employee data up‑to‑date in the payroll system.
• Prepare payroll‑related reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with year‑end processes, including the preparation of P60s and P11Ds.
• Stay informed about changes to payroll legislation and implement necessary updates.

Required profile

• Experience in processing payroll.
• Knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Good communication skills for interacting with employees and stakeholders.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude and willingness to improve processes.

What we offer

• Permanent contract with a salary range of £25,000‑£27,500 per year, dependent on experience.
• Full‑time, 5‑day onsite work in the Worthing office.
