PCB Test Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a PCB Test Engineer to support testing and diagnostics of circuit cards during the production phase for a world‑class defence organisation. You will work closely with operators and engineers to ensure test activities meet programme targets for time, cost and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Provide test engineering support to shop‑floor operators, including the introduction of new test equipment.
• Test and diagnose circuit cards down to the component level.
• Generate test specifications, operator instructions and technical reports based on higher‑level requirements.
• Identify remedial and corrective actions promptly to keep manufacturing on schedule.
• Participate in meetings with Quality and Operations to deliver status updates on test investigations.

Required profile

• Minimum HNC level engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of digital and analogue electronic measurement and fault‑diagnosis techniques.
• Demonstrable experience testing circuit cards to component level.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documentation.
• Ability to plan and organise work according to priorities.
