Personal Tax Manager – Hybrid – Watford (Start Autumn 2026)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Personal Tax Manager to join our Private Client team in Watford. The role offers hybrid working and the chance to manage a diverse portfolio of high‑net‑worth individuals, trusts and owner‑managed businesses while providing both compliance and advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal, partnership and trust tax clients.
• Review tax returns and technical work prepared by junior team members.
• Identify and deliver tax planning opportunities.
• Support clients through HMRC enquiries and compliance checks.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with partners and colleagues on advisory projects.
• Coach and support junior members of the tax team.

Required profile

• CTA qualification (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualified experience in private client tax.
• Strong personal tax compliance background with advisory exposure.
• Experience reviewing work and mentoring junior staff.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Up‑to‑date technical tax knowledge.

Required skills

• Proficiency with tax software such as Digita.
