Personal Tax Manager – Watford (Hybrid)

About the role

Join a respected independent accountancy practice as a Personal Tax Manager, working with a diverse portfolio of high‑net‑worth individuals, trusts and owner‑managed businesses. You will operate in a hybrid environment, collaborating closely with partners and senior tax professionals to deliver both compliance and advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal, partnership and trust tax clients.
• Review tax returns and technical work prepared by junior team members.
• Identify and implement tax planning opportunities.
• Support clients during HMRC enquiries and compliance checks.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Coach and mentor junior tax staff.

Required profile

• CTA qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualified experience in private client tax.
• Strong personal tax compliance background with advisory exposure.
• Proven ability to review work and mentor junior colleagues.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
