Personal Tax Semi Senior – Romford

About the role

We are seeking a Personal Tax Semi‑Senior to join our growing tax team in Romford. You will work with a diverse portfolio of private clients, handling a range of personal tax matters while developing your expertise in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing a portfolio of personal tax clients.
• Prepare Self Assessment tax returns for individuals, directors, sole traders and partnerships.
• Support capital gains tax and inheritance tax compliance.
• Handle client queries and correspond with HMRC on their behalf.
• Ensure tax compliance deadlines are met accurately.
• Assist senior team members on advisory projects as needed.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Identify process improvements to enhance client experience.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a personal tax role within an accountancy practice.
• Working knowledge of UK personal tax compliance and Self Assessment.
• Studying towards ATT or willing to pursue further qualifications (advantageous).
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
