Personal Tax Semi‑Senior / Senior – St Albans

About the role

This position is ideal for a Personal Tax Senior who enjoys a balanced mix of compliance and advisory work, values strong client relationships, and wants to join a supportive, professional team in St Albans.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review Self‑Assessment tax returns for individuals, directors and business owners.
• Participate in tax planning and advisory projects, including inheritance tax, trusts and private client planning.
• Build and maintain relationships by liaising directly with clients and HMRC.
• Manage a diverse client portfolio, delivering high‑quality service.
• Support and mentor junior team members, contributing to their development.

Required profile

• ATT or CTA qualified (or part‑qualified with strong relevant experience).
• Solid background in personal tax within a practice environment.
• Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Collaborative team player with strong communication abilities.
