Personal Tax Senior – Hybrid / Flexible Working

About the role

Our client is a forward‑thinking accountancy practice in London that values people and delivers holistic tax services to private clients and business owners. They are seeking a Personal Tax Senior to join a growing team, offering strong technical exposure and high‑quality private client work.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of personal tax compliance clients and meet filing deadlines.
• Prepare self‑assessment tax returns to a high standard.
• Review junior team members' work and provide constructive feedback.
• Support training and development of junior staff.
• Attend client meetings, maintain relationships, and identify advisory opportunities.
• Liaise with the corporation tax team to gather information for returns.

Required profile

• ATT and/or CTA part‑qualified or qualified.
• Strong experience in a UK private practice or accountancy firm.
• Proven ability to review work and mentor junior staff.
• Excellent client‑facing and relationship‑management skills.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of P11Ds, tax credits, tax codes, pension relief, and gift‑aid relief.
• Expertise in HMRC compliance and self‑assessment tax returns.
• Experience with self‑employed accounts and property income schedules.
• Understanding of CGT, IHT, share‑scheme planning and high‑net‑worth client scenarios.
