Personal Tax Senior

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Personal Tax Senior to join a fast‑growing accountancy practice in Leeds. You will own a varied portfolio of personal tax clients and work within a collaborative, director‑led team delivering high‑quality tax compliance and planning services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients, including directors, shareholders, sole traders, partnerships, property owners, doctors, dentists and high‑net‑worth investors.
• Prepare, review and submit accurate personal tax returns and computations in line with self‑assessment regulations.
• Review financial documents to ensure completeness and accuracy for all statutory filings.
• Identify tax planning opportunities such as remuneration/dividend planning, exit strategies and business structuring.
• Provide guidance, training and support to junior tax staff.
• Build strong client relationships, handle ad‑hoc queries and resolve complex tax issues.
• Participate in prospective client meetings and calls to support business growth.

Required profile

• Organised senior‑level professional with solid practice experience in personal tax.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage a client portfolio.
• Detail‑focused with a proactive “can‑do” attitude.

Required skills

What we offer

• Salary £32,000‑£36,000 per year, dependent on experience.
