About the role
Join a busy retail pharmacy team as a Dispenser, supporting pharmacists and healthcare professionals to deliver safe, efficient pharmacy services. You will interact directly with patients, helping them understand their medicines and promoting health and wellness.
Key responsibilities
- Dispense prescriptions safely, including ordering, labelling, endorsing and collecting medicines.
- Work with other healthcare staff to manage and deliver pharmacy services.
- Provide advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the pharmacist when needed.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure legal and safe dispensing.
- Stay up‑to‑date with store innovations and operational processes.
- Support patients with repeat prescriptions, medication adherence and waste reduction.
- Use new dispensing technologies and systems to improve patient safety and efficiency.
- Participate in regular training and development, with pathways to become a Pharmacy Technician or store leader.
Required profile
- Completed Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or first year of an MPharm qualification.
- Current, valid UK right to work (no visa sponsorship available).
- Experience in community pharmacy is desirable.
