Pharmacy Dispenser – Store Based

About the role

As a Dispenser you will be an essential member of the pharmacy team in a UK store, supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals. You will interact directly with patients, helping them manage their prescriptions and providing advice to promote health and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions safely, including ordering, labelling, endorsing and collection.
• Work with pharmacy staff to deliver and manage pharmacy services.
• Provide medication advice to patients and refer queries to the pharmacist when needed.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure legal and safe dispensing.
• Stay updated on store innovations and operational processes.
• Support patients with repeat prescriptions and medication adherence.
• Use new store technologies to improve dispensing efficiency and patient safety.

Required profile

• Completed Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or first year of an MPharm qualification.
• Current, valid UK right to work (no visa sponsorship).
• Experience in community pharmacy is desirable.
