PIP Nurse – Hybrid (Functional Assessor)

About the role
As a PIP Nurse (Functional Assessor) you will use your clinical expertise to evaluate how a person’s disability or health condition impacts their daily life. Working on complex physical, mental health and chronic pain cases, you will help customers move forward with tailored support and guidance.
Key responsibilities
- Assess customers’ health conditions and determine functional impact.
- Produce detailed written reports documenting findings and recommendations.
- Manage a caseload of complex physical and mental health cases.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide mentorship to new assessors.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge through ongoing training and CPD.
Required profile
- Valid NMC registration number.
- Minimum 1 year post‑registration experience in adult or mental health nursing (NHS or other).
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship offered).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Comfortable using computer software to produce detailed reports.
Required skills
- Computer software (report writing and data entry).
