PIP Nurse - Hybrid

About the role

As a Nurse Functional Assessor at Maximus you will use your clinical expertise to evaluate how a person’s disability or health condition impacts their daily life. You will work on complex cases involving physical, mental health and chronic pain conditions, providing compassionate support to help customers move forward.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the functional impact of disabilities and health conditions on individuals.
• Handle complex cases that involve both physical and mental health issues.
• Produce detailed written reports documenting assessments and recommendations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide guidance to customers.
• Participate in ongoing training, mentorship and professional development.

Required profile

• Valid NMC registration number.
• Minimum 1 year post‑registration experience in adult or mental health nursing (NHS or other settings).
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer software for report writing.
