About the role

Stride Resource Management is seeking a Placement Broker to join its well‑established wholesale insurance team in Milton Keynes. This market‑facing role focuses on negotiating, structuring and placing medium to large commercial risks across a broad range of sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively market and place commercial risks with a panel of insurers.
• Build and strengthen relationships with broker partners.
• Trade effectively with insurers, negotiating terms that are both technically sound and commercially viable.
• Place SME, commercial and mid‑corporate risks.
• Support colleagues on complex or unusual cases.
• Deliver a professional, responsive service throughout the placement process.

Required profile

• Strong commercial insurance broking background.
• Experience placing medium to large risks in the open market.
• Confident negotiator with insurers and stakeholders.
• Comfortable working across a varied spread of commercial business.
• Desire for a role where technical ability and trading mindset are valued.

Required skills

• Acturis or a similar broking system.
