About the role
We are seeking a motivated Solicitor to join a nationally recognised police team, delivering civil protective orders that safeguard vulnerable individuals and enhance public safety. The role is remote‑first, with occasional in‑person hearings primarily in Brighton.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a high‑volume caseload of civil protective order applications, including DVPOs, SPOs and SHPOs.
- Draft applications, prepare high‑quality bundles and progress urgent matters efficiently.
- Advocate in Magistrates’ Court and liaise with counsel as required.
- Provide practical operational advice to police clients.
- Collaborate with the wider team to maintain smooth shared workflows.
- Maintain clear case management, diary control and accurate time recording.
Required profile
- Qualified solicitor with experience in civil protective orders or related public‑law matters.
- Proven ability to manage cases end‑to‑end and work autonomously.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel for court hearings as needed.
