About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postal Delivery Driver in Dorchester, delivering letters and parcels to your local community on a rotating shift schedule. This part‑time, permanent role offers active, outdoor work with the chance to build relationships with customers.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the Dorchester delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot across assigned routes.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the Royal Mail brand.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, handling high volumes during peak periods.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Willingness and ability to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit for walking long distances (up to 12 miles) and lifting/ carrying 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
