Powder Coating Supervisor

About the role

A recruitment agency is recruiting, on behalf of its client, an experienced and motivated Powder Coating Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operation of a powder coating facility. The supervisor manages production, maintains quality standards, supervises staff and ensures the safe and efficient operation of manual and automated powder coating lines. The post reports directly to the warehouse manager.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities within the powder coating department.
• Manage both manual and automated powder coating lines to maximise productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure all products meet customer specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor pre-treatment, powder application and curing processes.
• Lead, train and develop operatives within the department.
• Plan workloads and allocate resources to meet production schedules.
• Carry out quality inspections and implement corrective actions where required.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising a powder coating operation.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Health and safety awareness within a manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of manual and automated powder coating lines.
• Experience with pre-treatment processes and curing ovens.
• Excellent understanding of powder coating quality standards and testing procedures.
• Forklift licence preferred but not essential.
