Practice Education Facilitator – Theatre (Full‑time)

About the role

The Practice Education Facilitator will lead the delivery of high‑quality, multi‑professional learning within the Theatre Department of the NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group. Working primarily on the Royal site with rotation to BGH Theatres, the role supports student experience, staff development and the Preceptorship Programme.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure provision of high‑quality, multi‑professional learning environments in the Theatre Department.
• Coordinate inter‑professional learning activities across service areas.
• Develop and maintain a network of mentors and practice supervisors, providing supervision structures and best‑practice advice.
• Identify mentorship gaps and facilitate access to training and supervision programmes.
• Support staff within the Theatres Directorate and the Preceptorship Programme.
• Undertake projects related to learning and development to inform future priorities.
• Maintain and improve professional knowledge for self and mentors.
• Manage workload independently and participate in appraisal and clinical supervision processes.

Required profile

• Experience in clinical education, preferably within theatre services.
• Ability to develop and coordinate mentorship and supervision frameworks.
• Strong project‑management and organisational skills.
• Capability to work across professional boundaries and support cross‑boundary learning.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and appraisal participation.
