Practice Manager – North London – £38k‑£42k + Benefits

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of a well‑established St. James’s Place Partner Practice in North London. The role combines operational oversight with leadership of the Administration and Paraplanning teams, supporting the practice’s growth and high‑service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Own the practice’s daily operations, continuously improving processes for efficiency and client care.
• Lead, mentor and manage the Administration and Paraplanning teams, delivering regular coaching and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with SJP and FCA guidelines, keeping the practice audit‑ready at all times.
• Coordinate client servicing activities, including review meeting preparation, diary management and pipeline oversight.
• Partner with the senior management team on operational planning, reporting and system enhancements.
• Maintain accurate client and business records within the practice’s CRM and internal systems.
• Act as the primary escalation point for operational issues, liaising with clients, SJP head office and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in practice management or operations within a financial planning or wealth‑management environment.
• Strong understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organisational and leadership abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Ability to work collaboratively with partners, senior managers and client‑facing teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of CRM and practice management systems.
• Familiarity with FCA compliance frameworks.
