Pre-Construction Project Manager & Estimator

About the role

We are seeking a Pre‑Construction Project Manager & Estimator to join our Design & Build team in Reading. This permanent, 37.5‑hour per week position supports office fit‑out and refurbishment projects across London and the South‑East.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates, quotations and tender documentation for commercial fit‑out projects.
• Support the planning and delivery of office relocation, interior design and refurbishment programmes.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts from engagement through to completion.
• Provide day‑to‑day operational oversight of existing and new fit‑out contracts.
• Liaise with clients, internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
• Produce regular written and verbal reports on project progress and financial performance.

Required profile

• Proven estimating experience within the commercial fit‑out or construction sector.
• Ability to control and manage project finances from start to finish.
• Strong organisational and planning skills with the capacity to handle multiple work streams.
• Effective communication skills for client interaction at all levels.
• Experience working with JCT and NEC contract suites.
• Valid UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
