About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Band 5 Pre‑Assessment Nurse to join the Pre‑operative Assessment Unit at Royal Gwent Hospital. The role involves delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients preparing for surgery, supporting them through assessment and preparation processes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre‑operative assessments for surgical patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop appropriate care plans.

• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding surgical procedures.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse employed by Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.
• Demonstrated clinical nursing competence in acute care settings.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
