Pre‑Construction Manager – Land & Consents

About the role

amphos is looking for a Pre‑Construction Manager (Land & Consents) to own all pre‑construction activities from project award through to construction readiness. You will coordinate land, legal, design and planning activities to ensure projects are fully de‑risked, legally secured and ready for construction and energisation.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full pre‑construction phase across multiple projects and develop detailed programmes covering land rights, legal agreements, design submissions and planning consents.
• Lead land rights strategy, managing easements, wayleaves, leases and licences, and coordinate negotiations with DNOs, IDNOs, solicitors and landowners.
• Manage pre‑construction design timelines, align internal and external designers with programme requirements and track design changes.
• Handle planning applications and statutory consents for substations and off‑site infrastructure, coordinating third‑party approvals.
• Track progress against milestones, hold stakeholders accountable and ensure projects are construction‑ready and legally enabled ahead of energisation.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing pre‑construction activities for electrical infrastructure or similar projects.
• Strong knowledge of land rights processes, including easements, wayleaves, leases and licences.
• Ability to coordinate design submissions and planning consents to meet programme deadlines.
• Experience working with DNOs, IDNOs, solicitors and external stakeholders.
