Prep School Teacher

About the role

Brighton Girls is seeking a qualified teacher to join its Prep School, delivering EYFS, KS1 and KS2 curriculum across all subjects. The role starts in September 2026 on a fixed‑term, 12‑month secondment cover.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons for EYFS, KS1 or KS2 pupils, covering the full curriculum.
• Use a range of teaching strategies to engage and support individual learners.
• Assess student progress and provide targeted feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
• Contribute to the wider life of the Prep School, including extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching in a Prep or Primary setting.
• Ability to teach EYFS, KS1 or KS2 curriculum.
• Commitment to the values of the Girls’ Day School Trust.

• Knowledge of EYFS, KS1 and KS2 curriculum frameworks.
• Effective classroom management techniques.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
