Pre‑Registration Pharmacy Technician Apprentice

About the role

The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital is offering a two‑year Pre‑Registration Pharmacy Technician apprenticeship. You will work full‑time in the hospital pharmacy while attending college one day per week to achieve the Level 3 Pharmacy Technician (Integrated) qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Rotate through specialist areas covering both operational and clinical pharmacy services.
• Assist with dispensing, stock management and patient medication counselling under supervision.
• Complete all college coursework, assessments and independent study within set deadlines.
• Support the pharmacy team in delivering safe, effective medication services.

Required profile

• Minimum of four GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including Maths, English and Science (or equivalent Functional Skills Level 2).
• Motivated, adaptable and committed to completing the apprenticeship framework.
• Ability to work full‑time in a hospital environment and attend college one day per week.
