Primary Tutor - 1:1 Somerset

About the role

Quantum Scholars are seeking caring and experienced primary tutors to deliver one‑to‑one, in‑person tuition for primary‑aged children in Glastonbury and the surrounding Somerset area. Sessions take place in the child’s home or a suitable community setting and are tailored to each learner’s needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 tuition covering core primary subjects such as English and Maths.
• Plan and deliver personalised, interest‑led learning activities.
• Travel to children’s homes or community venues across Glastonbury.
• Adapt sessions for children with SEND, SEMH, anxiety, EBSA or gaps in education.
• Maintain brief records of attendance, content and progress.
• Communicate professionally with parents, carers and relevant professionals.

Required profile

• Proven experience working with primary‑aged children.
• Strong knowledge of the UK primary curriculum.
• Patient, nurturing and flexible approach.
• Clear commitment to safeguarding and positive child outcomes.
• Legal right to work in the UK and ability to travel locally.

• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
