Primary/Secondary Teaching Assistant

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons for pupils with additional educational needs.
• Promote independence and social development through one‑to‑one and small‑group support.
• Help prepare and organise learning resources and classroom environments.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to the teaching team.
• Participate in staff meetings, CPD sessions and collaborative planning.

Required profile

• Passion for supporting pupils with SEND and a desire to make a positive impact.
• Patience, persistence and a collaborative mindset.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency in using classroom technology and educational software.
